An Ivy League university recently received a multi-million-dollar donation from a national foundation to build a new building for its computer science department. Cook Communications was part of a team hired to plan and promote the building’s official dedication.

We developed and implemented a comprehensive public relations plan designed to generate media coverage of the dedication and to raise awareness of the department among prospective Ph.D. candidates, current and potential donors, alumni, faculty and students.

Our efforts included writing and issuing a news release, providing direct outreach to major media outlets across the country and providing on-site support the day of the dedication. We were successful in generating more than 70 stories in such media as CNBC, Fox Business Network, Bloomberg Radio Network, San Francisco Chronicle, Houston Chronicle, and Miami Herald.

If you have a new building, program or project that needs some national attention, contact Cook Communications today.
